This former great champion of “12 coups de midi” has done well since his appearance on the TF1 show. Today, what has become of him?
In 2015, Sylvain Larue, originally from Gers, left his mark on the minds of TF1 viewers thanks to his impressive series of successes in The 12 Coups de midia show during which he accumulated 75 victories and the tidy sum of 335,593 euros in winnings. Ten years later, what has become of him?

At 43, Sylvain Larue has turned the page on his television adventure. The one that viewers discovered in Jean-Luc Reichmann’s show quickly reinvented himself. Only one year after his adventure in The 12 Coups de midithe Gersois has become a prolific writer! After publishing his very first historical detective novel, The Eye of the Goupil, the work gave birth to the collection The investigations of Léandre Lafforgue (published by Editions De Borée) which includes a total of no less than 6 books.
Sylvain Laurue has cultivated this passion for writing for a long time. “I scribbled little writings when I was seven or eight years old, I attempted writing competitions once or twice during childhood and adolescence” he explained in an interview for Zonelivre. He also revealed his writing method: “I prefer to work at night, quietly, with a TV in front of me which shows me films that I have seen a hundred times and whose lines I know by heart.“.
Sylvain Larue physically transformed: “Today I lost 58 kilos“
Since his first participation in The 12 Coups de midiSylvain Larue has experienced an incredible transformation. During the special broadcast celebrating the program’s 10th anniversary, he explained to Jean-Luc Reichmann how he went from 133 kilos to 75 kilos: “I said: ‘I’m going to lose 40 kilos if I complete a certain number of participations’. And I crossed the number of participations in question. It’s hard to get started, because it’s a question of will…And then one day, I took the plunge. And today I lost 58 kilos“.
For Tele-LeisureSylvain Larue also explained that he had to resort to an operation and that he had no particular advice to give to those who find themselves in the same situation: “There is no advice to give in this situation. I had surgery because a diet was too difficult to implement“.
