Leisure parks are on the rise and compete in imagination to always renew themselves and attract families. A unique type of structure will soon offer absolutely incredible activities to its visitors.
Trampolines, video games, fun courses, ball pools… Leisure parks are very popular with families. They are less expensive than amusement parks, but have nothing to envy them in terms of activities. They are found in many cities, so that you can get there without undertaking a long, expensive and tiring trip. In addition, there are often activities for different age groups, a good point since there is something for everyone.
Leisure parks often offer new activities to continue to surprise and seduce the public. And some go very far! Promoter Jean-Marie Nex has launched the “On Air” project, a futuristic leisure park with two star attractions: a free fall simulator and a swimming pool with different depth levels, including a 20-meter fake! Introductory diving sessions can be done in the pool, and “Lafbonecan accommodate up to 30 divers at the same time on different levels”he explains to Ocean Press.
You will also find more classic activities there, but just as pleasant, such as digital games or leisure games. In terms of decoration, the developer explains that the park will be reminiscent of “a kind of film studio with lots of different atmospheres”. And one of these atmospheres will be inspired by the world of Jules Verne, a choice which was undoubtedly not made at random when we think of the location of the leisure park: it will open its doors on the outskirts of Nantes, the city which saw the birth of the famous writer to whom we owe in particular Around the world in eighty days And Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.
More precisely, it is in the Gripôts area in Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire, a neighboring town to Nantes, located to the south of the metropolis, that the new On Air park will be located. If the activities that will be offered there are enough to make you dream, families will have to be patient before being able to go there: the work began the second week of October 2025, and the opening is planned for 2028.
