When purchasing this house where everything had to be redone, the kitchen was a key room that the owners were keen to rethink from top to bottom. They called on SoCoo’c to better meet their needs.
It is in the surroundings of Besançon that the kitcheners of SoCoo’c put their expertise to work to restore the nobility of a house that needed a top-to-bottom renovation. And even more so in the kitchen area which reflected an atmosphere from another time! Patterned tapestry and splashback with small 15 x 15 cm squares which absolutely did not match each other, patterned floors without any unity… The kitchen had old-fashioned seventies decor codes which were not part of requests from the new owners.
For the functional side also, it was necessary to iron! A single kitchen wall was exploited with full-length wall units and a floating vanity unit with a huge sink. Although it was ideal for washing dishes, it was no longer relevant for our current lifestyles.
The objective? Review everything to offer a modern and ultra-functional kitchen! The kitchen space offering a large surface area, the Socoo’c teams proposed to exploit the entire room with the design of an L-shaped kitchen. A large surface area which also made it possible to install a lot of storage space. without overloading the room with wall units. There are only two small discreet boxes above the sink and a column where the tone-on-tone appliances blend perfectly into the decor.
The owners opted for a trendy black kitchen with “matt black Mezzo” elements. The room offers a lot of softness thanks to the oak parquet which recalls the finish of the worktop (reference SoCoo’c Chêne Vintage). The black and wood combo is ideal for bringing a modern touch to the kitchen while maintaining a warm atmosphere.
To organize the space as best as possible and add a work surface, the teams also relied on a central island. This serves as a tailor-made bar table and contributes to obtaining a friendly and warm cuisine, ideal for the whole family.
