A second crown on your head? Former Miss France Eve Gilles will try to win the Miss Universe competition next November. But, at the end of the adventure, she already knows that she will return to her studies…
“You don’t go to Miss Universe to lose. I’m going there to give my best and aim for the crown“, assures Eve Gilles, in an interview for The Parisian. The beauty queen will represent France on November 21, during the 74th edition of Miss Universe, which will be held in Thailand. And the French candidate has a very precise idea of what she is going to do next.
Eve Gilles doesn’t want to remain just a Miss!
Speaking to the daily, Eve Gilles returned to her career since her victory at Miss France 2024. Not content with having shone on the floor of DALSon TF1, the young woman, now 22 years old, has established a very specific career plan for the months to come. “In fact, it’s the best possible timing: if I win Miss Universe, I’ll go back for a year, and if I don’t win, I can return to my studies sooner. So for now, I stayed in this life that goes a hundred miles an hour“, she confided.
And Eve Gilles, who is now in a relationship with the discreet Simon Favier – who is 19 years older than her – specifies: “It’s a life that I enjoy. But at the same time, I still feel this desire to obtain my diploma, to progress in mathematics and statistics. I love the stage, the hyper sociability, but I also like finding myself alone facing figures and more technical questions. I would like to specialize in applied statistics, either to economics or to medical research. These are serious areas, which will allow me to have a two-faceted life.”
This other Miss who serves as a model for Eve Gilles
Fully integrated into the Miss France family, Eve Gilles draws inspiration from her sisters to lead her boat. If she hopes to win the title of Miss Universe – after the two French victories of Christiane Martel (Miss Universe 1953) and Iris Mittenaere (Miss Universe 2016) – she also dreams of having a more classic career. Like another Miss…
“I don’t close doors. I will be able to seize opportunities while completing my studies. For example, Marine Ltemporel (Miss France 2013, editor’s note) is today a doctor while regularly speaking in the media“, she said last year in The Central Republic.
