Since November 1, 2024, private supplementary pensions have been increased by 1.6%. The board of directors of Agirc-Arrco, meeting on October 15, decided to increase the supplementary retirement pension paid to employees in the private sector as stipulated in its operating rules.
Each year, the organization changes the amount of the pension according to inflation excluding tobacco. Agirc-Arrco has room to maneuver allowing it to adjust this development within the limit of +/-0.4%. With INSEE having forecast inflation of +1.8% for 2024, the board of directors decided to use its room for maneuver to the tune of 0.2 points, which gives an increase of 1.6%.

The schedule of Agirc-Arrco payments in 2025
The supplementary retirement pension which is added to the basic pension paid by Social Security is paid at the start of each month. Agirc-Arrco has made public its payment schedule for 2025. The first payment of the supplementary pension will take place on Thursday January 2, 2025. Here is the summary table:
Payment will take place on the 1st day of the month in April, July, August, September, October and December 2025. In January, May and June, payment of the supplementary pension will only take place on the 2nd. of the month. In February, March and November, it will be carried out on the 3rd of the month. Payment of the Agirc-Arrco is made on the first working day of each month. The organization specifies that the “Actual payment date into your account depends on your bank. The deadline is generally very short but the operation can sometimes take a few days.
Furthermore, some retirees do not receive their supplementary pension each month. For seniors whose bank account is domiciled outside European borders, the payment is quarterly. It can even be annual for retirees whose pension amount is very low.
