Jane Fonda has adopted many hairstyles since the start of her career. But which one is his favorite? The star answered us.
Legendary actress, environmental activist, fitness star… Jane Fonda needs no introduction. At 87 years old, she has a career that would make anyone green with envy. To this already impressive CV, we can also add a line: beauty icon. Since his debut in the 60s, his looks have been scrutinized, analyzed and copied. A true source of inspiration for millions of women! So when we had the opportunity to meet her in September 2025, as part of her role as muse for L’Oréal Paris, it was impossible not to mention the many styles she has worn throughout her career.
From the mullet to the shag cut, including long hair and trendy blow-drying, Jane Fonda has tested absolutely every hairstyle. But in her list of achievements, there is one that the actress particularly likes. Drum roll… It’s just the one she’s wearing right now. A pretty wavy bob that highlights its natural color. “I am very happy to have left my hair gray, we waste so much time with the chemicals we apply on our heads, and we throw money out the window. All this to appear like what we are not!”she says.
Determined to embrace her silver mane, it was impossible for Jane Fonda to go through the coloring process even for a role. Thus, approximately two years before the end of the series Grace and Frankie, the actress convinced the writers to allow her character to age naturally. “I told the teams: “I, Jane, want to have gray hair so let’s add that to the scenario.” And we made Grace let her hair go gray too. It was really fun and I’m so happy I got to do it.“
For several years, the star has displayed gray lengths that she fully embraces. The only downside: they are difficult to style. “I can’t do it myself“, she admits. “Obviously It was easier when I had long hair, I just had to put it in a ponytail, but I really prefer this cut on me. I hope you do too!“
