It is a scourge which unfortunately continues to progress. On the occasion of the 4th day against energy poverty, organized this Tuesday, November 12, the Abbé Pierre Foundation, accompanied by around twenty organizations involved in energy renovation, presented a report on this phenomenon which affects more and more households in France. And the numbers are alarming. Despite growing mobilization of civil society and institutions around this scourge, more and more households are struggling to maintain an acceptable temperature in their homes, or are going broke to achieve this. No less than 12 million people will have suffered from energy poverty in France in 2023, according to the Energy Mediator. So if you too are having trouble heating your home, we are interested in your story.
While the approaching winter is expected to once again put millions of families in difficulty, we are looking for testimonials from households who are struggling to heat their homes properly. If you suffer from the cold during the winter due to a dilapidated or poorly insulated apartment or house, we invite you to speak out. Do you live in one of the 4.8 million thermal sieves in the country? Tell us how fuel poverty impacts your daily life.
