Guest of honor of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the singer of Girls Just Want to Have Fun caused a sensation on stage. New coloring, twisted cut and as free a look as ever: Cyndi Lauper proves that at over 70, you can still reinvent your style without losing any of its shine.
On November 8, the music stars met at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles for an exceptional evening. Among them, Cyndi Lauper, honored with induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Like Joe Cocker, Outkast and Salt-N-Pepa, the singer joined the prestigious rock and roll hall of fame. It was Chappell Roan who announced the news on stage, before Cyndi Lauper performed her iconic True Colors and Time After Time. The opportunity to reveal a totally unexpected hair look. Naturally blonde, the icon of the 1980s gave herself a pastel color: a soft green crossed with pink streaks, bubblegum style. A bold bet at over 70 years old! Accustomed to bright colors – orange, purple, blue – Cyndi Lauper proves once again that she has lost none of her taste for eccentricity.
In terms of cut, same audacity. For some time now, the singer has been wearing short hair, a length that she masters to perfection. But this time, she added a rock touch: a few longer strands at the nape of the neck, a revisited mullet cut. In the 2025 version, the cult hairstyle of the 1980s is softened, modernized and gaining in elegance. A trend that Cyndi Lauper adopts without a false note, with this mixture of confidence and fantasy which makes her always so unique.
And if some see it as a nod to her rebellious beginnings, others simply recognize it as the signature of an artist who has never stopped daring.
