In red and black: this is the fashion combo worn by Jane Fonda for this ceremony, during which she took the opportunity to send a strong message with her outfit. Simple and effective!
The WIF Honors ceremony was held on November 6 at The Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles. Jane Fonda was the star, as much for the prize she presented as for her evening outfit.
The annual Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards, better known as the WIF Honors, brought together a host of stars to celebrate women in the industry. During the evening, the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award was presented by the actress herself to Jamie Lee Curtis, to recognize her long-standing commitment to philanthropy and human rights. While many celebrities chose gala dresses, Jane Fonda opted for a more assertive look: a flamboyant red pantsuit, which contrasted magnificently with the black of the photocall. The satin lapels of her blazer added a refined note, while the high-waisted cut of the pants elegantly elongated her silhouette.
To complete her outfit, the 87-year-old American opted for black. The unexpected piece: a plain round-neck t-shirt, decorated with the word “resist.” A simple, but strong message, which alone sums up the activism of Jane Fonda, a committed Hollywood figure.
As for accessories, the star had swapped the pumps for more discreet black ankle boots. A few layered rings and small golden hoop earrings were enough to complete this assertive and elegant look, worn with the confidence we know.
