What if the key to shopping better at Zara was right before your eyes…
In the jungle of fast fashion, where new products arrive every week, finding good quality clothing is sometimes a matter of chance. However, at Zaraa discreet but revealing detail lets you know the difference between the ranges. An internal code that many people still ignore and which can radically change the way you shop.
For several years, Zara uses different markers on its labels to identify the quality category of a garment. This system, first designed to facilitate internal storage in stores, has transformed into a real unofficial guide for informed consumers. This tip is Ljubinka Puric aka @ljubinka.ch on Instagramwho revealed it in a video. In fact, the stylist explained how to recognize the quality pieces from the Spanish brand. White labels with black text mean that the garment is entry-level with a lot of synthetics, fragile finishes, and limited durability. White labels with white text reveal standard quality, i.e. “ok for the price, but rarely durable”. Black labels on white/gray text mean the range is premium. The material is denser, the cut is more careful, the finishes cleaner. “This is often where the best finds are found,” specifies the young woman. Finally, the brown labels with gold writing mean “limited edition collection”. The pieces are more elaborate and produced in small quantities.
At a time when fast fashion is increasingly criticized, these tips allow consumers to make more thoughtful choices, focusing on pieces that will last over time. Some customers even go so far as to only buy from a single label category, convinced that they will find the best value for money there.
If Zara has never commented on this phenomenon, the buzz around these labels proves one thing: customers want to understand what they are buying. And if this little secret allows you to avoid unpleasant surprises, you might as well adopt it on your next shopping trip.
