The costs billed by banking establishments increased by 1.7% in 2025. But some had much heavier hand for their customers. Here are the main increases to remember this year.

An annual total of 228.90 euros, just over 19 euros per month. This is the average amount that the customers of a French bank must pay in return for the services provided by their financial institution in 2025, according to the study of the pan -spa comparator. A Invoice In increased 1.7% over one year, slightly lower than that measured in 2024 (2.1%) and with medium inflation of 2% observed by INSEE for the past year.
But like any average, this development hides major disparities, which first depend on the services you have taken out. Thus, the magnifying glass examination of the tariff platelets of a hundred banks, relating to the services invoiced on the à la carte or integrated into packages, reveals much more substantial increases (+6.8%) for account costs (management) of account. And for good reason, several banks have raised them considerably. “Three regional funds from Crédit Agricole began to invoice them this year”underlines Anna Meylacq, spokesperson for Panorabanques, who points out, for example, that these costs were increased from 0 to 24 euros per year at Crédit Agricole Anjou Maine. These establishments are not the only ones to have increased their prices, most customers must on average pay 22.10 euros for managing their account, or 1.40 euros more than in 2024. Most, because some banks continue to offer this service, like the Online actors (Fortuneo, Boursobank…), but also LCL, Milleis, Crédit Coopératif or Crédit Agricole Normandie Seine.

Watch out for your “displaced withdrawals”
You probably do not pay attention to it, and yet … Whenever you withdraw money from a ticket distributor that does not belong to your banking group, you make a so -called “moved” withdrawal. However, your bank often offers you only three or four per month, before you charge the following. With samples of 1 euro, the note can quickly be salty: 15.40 euros on average at the start of the year, up 7.8%. In question, the drop in the number of free displaced withdrawals in several banks, and especially the increase in the unit cost of the operation in more than one in five establishment. If you are not a customer of Axa Banque, Boursobank, Fortuneo, Banque Palatine, Milleis or Crédit Mutuel Océan – who do not charge these withdrawals -, be vigilant: “You have to favor your banking group as much as possible to remove from a distributor or, when it is not possible, withdraw a large sum at once to avoid multiplying these operations”advocates Anna Meylacq.
Essential for your bank arsenal, your payment method Also costs you more this year (+3.2%). An immediate debit card thus amounts to 46.50 euros on average, at 46.40 euros if you opt for a delayed flow model or at around 136 euros if you choose the top of the range (Visa Premier, Gold Mastercard). Add to the price of these services that of your discoveries – which weigh for no less than 50% of your annual costs! – And you get your total invoice.
