When it comes to doing good, Christian family wants to be there. Especially when the good is aimed at those who never receive it: the poor, the abandoned, the forgotten by society. And Christmas – if it has to be authentic – is the best time to concretely help those in difficulty. This is why, this year too we are proud to propose our initiative again, for the fourth consecutive year “A Christmas of Value”to do good by telling the good.
Christian family wanted to involve companies capable of going beyond the narrow logic of profit and reawakening a sense of belonging in the various territories. Because where there is poverty, abandonment, social exclusion, everyone is called to “be there” and lend a hand. In collaboration with the advertising agency Piemme we talk about – on our website and in the issue on newsstands this week – the good social responsibility practices of twelve companies which are Autostrade per l’Italia, Edison, Enel, Esselunga, Generali Italia, Intesa Sanpaolo, Poste Italiane, Snam, Terna, BPER Banca, Coop and Mulino Caputo, and demonstrate that it is possible to go beyond the strict logic of profit and bring positive effects to the territory.
This initiative made it possible to donate 75 thousand euros for the project “A Meal a Day” conceived and conducted extensively by the Pope John XXIII Community, as we tell in the reportage on the “Bethlehem Hut”, the reception center for the homeless located in Montodine (Cremona) and to whom we also dedicated the cover.
“Christmas of Value” is a now consolidated form of collaboration between Publisher, Dealer and advertising partners, aimed at impacting the lives of many Italians: «It was extremely gratifying, as well as exciting, to be able to see several of our Partner Companies enthusiastically join this initiative which, in addition to restoring value to their communication, contributes to concretely helping families in difficulty. I would define them as “Companies of the heart””, he comments Walter BonannoCEO of PIEMME SpA.
«The ones described are experiences of “valuable companies” to be made known to everyone», he concludes Don Stefano Stimamigliodirector of Christian family«because they show that the logic of the economy is reconcilable with the spirit of solidarity and brotherhood. Thanks to this sensitivity towards social emergencies we can all together, in a team logic, make those who reach out to us have a peaceful Christmas.”
The social responsibility projects of the companies that participated in this year’s “Christmas of Value” initiative and which we have decided to tell:
Enel for social issues, teaming up to leave no one behind
