This magnificent house located in a wealthy area of Asnières had many advantages: its location in a quiet area, a pretty garden and a comfortable surface area of 120 m² for a family with two children who would soon expand. The house had already been transformed. An extension perpendicular to the ground floor had been added (accommodating a garage, a bedroom with bathroom and a dressing room). In addition, a veranda had been created, bathed in sunlight. It was accessible through a door at the dining room level, but without the openings to the buildings being modified. There was no large living room opening onto the kitchen and the ground floor was dark. The buyers knew the interior designer Clémentine Pautrot of Studio Zerck well. So they asked his opinion before making an offer. Would it be possible to bring the two spaces together and break the supporting wall? After getting the green light, they positioned themselves on the house. The plan was also modified, because the master bedroom was on the ground floor and the couple preferred to be on the same floor as their children. This is why Clémentine Pautrot changed the first bedroom’s dressing room into a third bedroom.
Play with chromotherapy to feel good
Suffering from a chronic illness, the client had very specific requests regarding decoration, in relation to her pathology. “She spends a lot of time at home and really needed to be cocooned”confirms the interior designer. The colors have been specially chosen in warm tones to highlight the rooms where she spends the most time. “These are colors that are good for morale, but also physiologically. For the same reason, the sofa was placed under the veranda, in full sun, because the heat relieves it”. For the rest, from the choice of materials to the furnishings, Clémentine Pautrot had carte blanche. Knowing the owners well, she had no trouble finding what they would like. She even thought about creating a door to the attic and renovating the hallway if one day they wanted to expand the property by creating new bedrooms. Everything has been well thought out. This is why the owners are delighted with this collaboration with their friend who perfectly met their expectations and even exceeded them!
