This couple in their forties really loved their bright apartment in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. Despite the beautiful surface area of 75 m², “They felt a little frustrated by the layout of the reception space and the kitchen, they who love hosting friends and having dinners. They found that the space lacked warmth and conviviality”explains Alicia Oustry, interior designer in charge of the project. Indeed, the kitchen communicated with the living room, but only with a small opening, such as a serving hatch. The owners were fans of teleworking and they each needed to have a separate space for this. They therefore called on Ameo Concept to optimize the apartment and adapt it to their needs. The bulk of the work was carried out in this part of the accommodation.
Rearrange the living room for more coherence
As the clients wanted to combine the kitchen and living room, Alicia Oustry immediately suggested that they tear down the wall that separated the two rooms. The kitchen was served by a large corridor which the architect had the good idea of transforming into an office. As the room was blind, she created windows overlooking the very bright living space. Everything has been redesigned to make the space more convivial while creating four very distinct corners: the kitchen, living room, office and dining room. The decorative elements connect the different places in the room together. By knocking down the partitions, the entrance opened directly onto the living room: through a clever play of colors, Alicia Oustry found how to make it stand out. The atmosphere of the bedroom and bathroom has also changed thanks to rearrangements and more sophisticated decoration. Overall, the apartment has gained in practicality and charm thanks to the talent of Ameo Concept, who knew how to highlight its assets. It changes everything!
