A Daffodil Against Cancer is an annual campaign of solidarity andcall for mobilization and collection of donations for cancer researchled by the Institut Curie, the leading French center for the fight against cancer. This year, it takes place from March 10 to 22, 2026. The ambition is to raise as much money as possible to support research and medical innovation against cancer. What is the theme of A Daffodil Against Cancer in 2026?
For the 2026 edition of the campaign, the central theme and rallying cry of the Institut Curie is: “Let us bring hope to life against metastatic cancers!”. This 22nd edition places particular emphasis on advanced forms of the disease, with the aim of transforming metastatic cancers into chronic diseases or curing them through medical innovation.
List of key events for a Daffodil against Cancer
► Tuesday March 10: Launch ceremony for the 22nd edition of Une Daffodil Against Cancer, in the presence of the official sponsors of the campaign.
► Like every year, a village will be held in Paris, notably on the Place du Panthéon, to offer activities, daffodil sales and sporting challenges (solidarity bikes).
► The Jonquille Race (from March 10 to 22) allows each kilometer covered to be converted into a donation (often 1 km = €1 thanks to patrons).
► Throughout the month of March: sales of sharing products, round-ups at the checkout, calls for donations, sporting events, solidarity events and sales… Generosity actions in the colors of the daffodil will flourish throughout France thanks to the mobilization of partner companies, associations and individuals.

The daffodil is the symbol of the fight against cancer. Wearing it as a pin or buying one allows you to show your support for this cause.
Where to buy daffodils?
You can buy daffodils at the sales stands at Daffodil Village Place du Panthéon (Paris 5th) and at the entrances to the Institut Curie hospital sites (Paris 5th – Saint-Cloud 92). The sale of daffodils for the benefit of the operation also takes place directly in the Truffaut garden centers. Also, to support the “A Daffodil Against Cancer” campaign, the Institut Curie offers an online store to purchase: a daffodil badge, a daffodil pen, a daffodil notebook or a shopping bag.

Every year, the public is invited to participate throughout France in the connected challenge of the “Daffodil Race“. This year, the connected race takes place during the event. Concretely, each participant makes their kilometers promise when registering. For each kilometer traveled, a donation of €1 will be donated to the Institut Curie by the major partner of the event, Allianz France. The funds raised will support cancer research and medical innovation carried out at the Institut Curie.

What are donations from Une Jonquille contre le Cancer used for?
► In 2025 : Thanks to 1.6 million euros collected (a record figure at the time), the objective was to finance programs to detect the disease even before the first symptoms appear. This includes liquid biopsies (developing blood tests capable of detecting traces of circulating tumor DNA in an ultra-sensitive manner) and Artificial Intelligence (AI): Improving medical imaging analysis algorithms to spot abnormalities invisible to the naked eye.
► In 2024: Two new records broken, 1.682 million euros collected and 991,371 km traveled during the Daffodil Race Against Cancer connected challenge
► In 2023: 1.4 million euros collected for early diagnosis and screening
► In 2022: 1,060,000 euros in donations collected made it possible to support research and projects dedicated to adolescent and young adult cancer.
► In 2021, the donations collected (899,000 euros) were intended big data and artificial intelligence in order to improve cancer research and medical innovation, better understand cancer disease in all its complexity, and predict its evolution to better combat it.
► In 2020the donations collected (533,000 euros) in an exceptional health context made it possible to support precision medicinean essential step to better diagnose and treat patients by offering them individualized treatments And adapted to the characteristics of each patient’s tumor (either targeted therapy or specific immunotherapy).
► In 2019the donations collected (630,000 euros) made it possible to support the fundamental research.
► In 2018the 525,000 euros raised allowed the creation of SIREDO, the first pediatric cancer center in France, bringing together in the same place and on the same floor, the expertise of more than 70 scientists, 5 research teams and around fifty caregivers.
