Hélichryse, Helichryrysum Italicum… There are many names to designate the essential oil of immortal flower. Rather rare, it grows in Corsica, Croatia, and Italy, and requires about 100 kilos of flowers to obtain 100g of essential oil. It is characterized by yellow flowers from which a spicy smell emerges from that of curry. The name refers to the longevity of the flowers even once picked. Less known for its slimming properties than its sisters, it is nevertheless seen in the list of ingredients of many slimming cosmetics and anti-cellulite. And for good reason: in its constitution, it is Itadiones an aromatic compound which has the particularity of activating lipolysis, that is to say the degradation of lipids, then promoting the elimination of fat accumulated in skin tissues. To take advantage of the benefits of helichrysus, mix a few drops of essential oil with vegetable oil and massage in circular movements on the areas concerned. Be careful however, the immortelle contains ketones, a molecule that can be neurotoxic. In order not to be mistaken in the dosages, do not hesitate to turn to a product which directly contains a synergy with Helichryse.
