Elon Musk does not like the DSA (Digital Service Act) and does not hesitate to let it be known. The billionaire, owner of the social network X, will not be among those who will celebrate on Sunday August 25 the first anniversary of the implementation of the regulation on digital services for very large platforms, those which – like X – have more than 45 million monthly active users in the European Union and must respect certain rules, particularly in terms of moderation and transparency.
Called to order in a letter sent on August 12 by the European Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton, Elon Musk responded by posting on X a film image with insulting subtitles. He thus showed how little he cared for European reprimands, while he was preparing to interview Donald Trump on his social network. The Commissioner’s letter was seen by 95 million people in a few days.
