On Tiktok, Loopsider did the test by asking Chatgpt “Generate me a realistic receipt in an Italian restaurant in Paris“Then just transform everything into an image.”After a few adjustments, we could only see fire and believe that this receipt is indeed real “, explains the account specializing in the broadcast of online videos. The employee then only has to send his false cost note to his company to obtain a refund.
Indeed, we made the same request and here is the image generated by the AI which specifies the date of the day well. Note that the name of the restaurant exists well, but in Milan, Italy and that the server has the same first name as the owner of the “Trattoria” … Small details that still jump to the people in charge of the management of reimbursements.
In the world of work, fraud linked to the reimbursement of expense reports are among the most common. According to a study carried out in 2021 by the SAP Concur cost management software, they could cause more than 13,000 euros per year to be lost for a company with around 250 people. With the emergence of AI, employers will have to redouble their vigilance.
