This couple fell in love with this 130 m² apartment located in the 7th arrondissement. But certain points did not suit them: the kitchen was far from the living room, the heaters under the windows (overlooking the street) were unsightly and the storage was not sufficient. The buyers both work in fashion. Madame is a stylist and has an extensive wardrobe. They needed a large walk-in closet. The client therefore contacted Élodie Sierocki, a trained engineer and interior designer. They got along so well on the phone that the architect agreed to visit the property before they even decided to buy it (which she usually doesn’t do) in order to check whether their project was feasible or not. The professional saw the potential and reassured them in their purchasing choice. During the three months between the promise and the final sale, together they refined the final details of the transformation.
Rethink the plan according to their needs
In the left part of the apartment there was the kitchen and two bedrooms. To the right was a large living space and, in extension, a bedroom. Élodie Sierocki immediately found the solution and reversed the kitchen and bedroom on the living room side. The wall was knocked down, allowing us to enjoy a beautiful space. For the radiators under the windows, covers that also serve as benches were installed. In the entrance, the space has been completely reorganized: the entrance block, which was a dressing room, was broken up in order to install a large line of very practical and more airy cupboards. The architect also modernized the apartment which badly needed it. The inspiration is white and wood. And as Élodie Sierocki got along very well with the owners, everything went very smoothly between them. A great project that everyone is very satisfied with upon arrival.
