Fausto is 67 years old and has spent his entire life totally dedicated to his family. He has always been the pillar, the economic support and the safe haven, sacrificing himself for years in the care of sick parents. Today, however, that pillar is collapsing. Left alone after their disappearance, Fausto is marked by serious pathologies – epilepsy, heart disease and a recent heart attack – and lives with a disability insufficient to cover the debts accumulated after the loss of his job. Despite the parish’s help for essential goods, the weight of the past is suffocating him, taking away all hope. Fausto no longer has anyone except us. Let us not allow his dignity to drown in debt.
