Isabelle Huppert has completely changed her look for the needs of her new film in which she will play a vampire. Find out.
Alert, new change of look! In The Blood Countessthe new feature film by German filmmaker Ulrike Ottinger, presented in preview at the Berlinale 2026, Isabelle Huppert reveals herself in a register radically different from her usual roles. Dramatic hair, diaphanous complexion, wine-colored lips… She adopts a vampiric look that is as disturbing as it is sophisticated.
Unveiled on Instagram, the poster for Isabelle Huppert’s new film shows her in a different light and with a completely new hair look. The 72-year-old actress abandons the flamboyant red that has long been her signature for a deep red, almost sanguine shade, in this new role. This strikingly intense shade contrasts sharply with the porcelain whiteness of his complexion and accentuates the dramatic dimension of the character. At the same time, she adopts a new haircut: her hair, delicately raised on the top of the head, is worked into thick waves reminiscent of vintage Hollywood hairstyles. This spectacular metamorphosis proves in any case that all the nuances belong to the movie star.
And the rest of the look is just as eye-catching. Isabelle Huppert’s makeup matches her vampire hairstyle perfectly. On one side, the eyes are highlighted thanks to iridescent pigments with green and golden reflections which capture the light and give it a fascinating intensity and on the other, the red lips reinforce the whole.
The final detail that makes all the difference? The flamboyant red gloves, topped with long metallic nails sharpened like claws, complete this daring beauty look. Yet another flawless performance!
