The couple in their thirties had just purchased this spacious 120 m² apartment in Boulogne-Billancourt for themselves and their two children. The plan was ideal and the accommodation had the exact number of bedrooms they wanted, three. On the other hand, everything had to be redone. The previous owner was an elderly person who hadn’t changed anything for a long time. There was a lack of built-in storage in the bedrooms and hallways. The new buyers knew and appreciated the transformation work of Carla Lopez and Margaux Meza, the interior designers of the Transition Interior Design agency. “We had already worked on a property for the client’s parents and one of the sisters, who really likes our style. She told us that she wanted us to think about the transformations together”confirms Carla Lopez.
Warm everything up with a palette around pink and integrating wood
The building dated from the 50s and 70s and the accommodation was in its image: totally outdated. The architects modernized the whole with built-in cupboards in each bedroom, as well as in the corridors. They redesigned the bathrooms and gave the kitchen a big facelift. To take advantage of the light in the rooms without breaking any partitions, Carla Lopez and Margaux Meza had the good idea of making glass openings from the kitchen on the corridor side and the dining room, but also from the bathroom towards the master bedroom. To warm up the atmosphere, the furniture is made of wood, a soft pink is present in each room with other pastel shades and the professionals have focused on curves for more roundness. “As the apartment was quite bright, we stuck to quite light, warm colors. Even the walls are in off-white tones”underlines the interior designer. In any case, this renovation is very successful. The apartment is unrecognizable. The Huggy company masterfully carried out all the transformations. The equipment is more modern and creates a very enveloping atmosphere thanks to the careful decoration, designed by the Transition Interior Design team.
