Start-ups like any other? The founders of French greentechs, these start-ups that work for the environmental transition, differ somewhat from their counterparts in more traditional young shoots.
Two-thirds (64%) have a master’s degree or higher in science or engineering, notes a study by the investment fund Asterion Ventures, specializing in greentechs, which looked at start-ups in the sector that have raised seed funding (between €500,000 and €5 million) and series A funding (€5 to €55 million). More “traditional” start-ups tend to see business training dominate, ahead of engineering training.
