THE family supplement is a very specific aid from Caf. It is awarded under certain conditions. If you have three or more children, aged under 21 and the youngest has already celebrated his third birthday, you will then be able to benefit from it, in addition to the family allowance paid from the second child. What is the amount of the family supplement in 2026?
The amount of the family supplement depends on household income and the number of dependent children. Between April 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026, basic aid amounts to 196.60 euros per monthwhether you live as a couple or alone. It can be increased in certain cases, until reaching 294.91 euros. Please note that the family supplement cannot be combined with the basic allowance.

The family supplement is calculated for each family based on the categorical net income for the year 2024 for 2026. The family supplement is paid to large families whose children are between 3 and 21 years old. The payment ends as soon as “you have less than 3 dependent children under 21 years old remaining, or if you have a new child under 3 years old”specifies the Public Service website.

No action is required to benefit from it. Indeed, if you are entitled to it, the tax services automatically transmit your household information to the Caf if you meet the eligibility conditions.
