Long-time friends who recently moved to Marseille, Magda Mietka & Laura Dailey Marques founded their architecture agency, Celeste Design Studio, in the process. And it was Rachel McCarthy, a photographer friend of Laura’s, who like her is from Santa Barbara in California, who bought this raw surface with the aim of turning it into a luxury apartment with a holiday feel.
Bringing life back to these tired 37 m²
When they visit the premises, located in a protected area of the Endoume district, very popular in Marseille, Magda & Laura discover a 37 m² ground floor/1st floor of a very old building where everything needs to be (re)done! Initially, an ugly mezzanine suffocates the space, the toilets are not independent and a dated red kitchen completes the picture. In short, nothing is up to date, nor to that of its owner. Discover without delay how the natural light has been maximized and let yourself be inspired by this seaside atmosphere far from being kitsch, quite the contrary!
