Thousands of young people can ask for this financial boost in July. There is just one condition to meet!
Receiving a little financial boost is always motivating, especially when he comes to greet a real investment. It is often believed that this kind of reward concerns adults, those who work, pay taxes or fill out complicated files. Young people seem to be out of the circuit. Aside from the pocket money given by their parents or a punctual summer job, they do not really have access to this type of aid. And yet, they can also be concerned, especially at a key moment in their journey: the end of the school.
Several banks are precisely trying to establish a first link with these future customers. To encourage them to open an account at home, they offer targeted offers. One of them, little known but very concrete, takes the form of a premium attributed to students who win a mention in the baccalaureate. Each year, many banking establishments offer it, with an amount often adjusted according to the level of mention tied.
This is particularly the case of the CIC bank, which rewards the 2025 baccalaureate holders with three premium levels: 40 euros for a “good enough” mention, 80 euros for a “good” mention and 160 euros for a mention “very good”. The sum is paid on a CIC savings book in the name of the young graduate. If he does not have one yet, he will have to open one by presenting his statement of notes. The bank also specifies on its site that the bank card is offered “For 1 year”. BNP Paribas also offers a single premium of 80 euros to any young age from 18 to 29 years old who obtained the bac, provided that you open an account in the bank. No level of mention is required: just present proof. The offer includes a current account, a bank card and insurance services grouped in the “Free Spirit” pack. The operation is valid until September 23, 2025.
For its part, Société Générale offers 60 euros to all 2025 graduates, with or without mention, if they have a sobrio or jazz offer. The 18-24 year olds can receive 80 euros for the opening of a first account, 80 euros more with the Bienvenue Service, and take advantage of Sobrio to 1 euro per year for two years. The 18-27 year olds can also benefit from a free year on the international option, useful to avoid costs abroad. In the past years, establishments such as Crédit Agricole, Crédit Mutuel or the Savings Fund have also offered bonuses to baccalaureate holders. Remember to question your advisor to find out if an offer is planned this year.
In addition, your child can benefit from a help of merit of the Crous if he is already a scholarship holder, or a regional scholarship according to his place of residence. Some local communities, such as town halls or departmental councils, also offer financial support. In Île-de-France, for example, aid of 1,000 euros is paid to graduates who obtained the mention “very good”. In the southern region, this scholarship amounts to 300 euros. Again, ask your town to find out the systems in place!
