Only a few days of waiting. We now know the payment dates of the back -to -school allowance (ARS), this financial boost paid each year to nearly 3 million households. The premium will be paid by the Family Allowance Fund (CAF) or the Agricultural Social Mutual (MSA) on Tuesday August 5 in Mayotte and Reunion and Tuesday August 19 to parents of children living in mainland France, Guadeloupe, Guyana and Martinique.
This premium, which aims to compensate for the increase in expenses linked to the start of the school year, benefits more than 5 million children each year between 6 and 18 years. In 2025, its amount was revalued up to 1.7%, after having increased 4.6% last year. The sum paid to parents varies depending on the age of their children. For the start of the school year, the amounts are 423.48 euros per child aged 6 to 10; 446.85 euros per child aged 11 to 14; 462.33 euros per child aged 15 to 18.
The back -to -school allowance paid under resource conditions
To benefit from it, the total of the household resources must not exceed certain ceilings. Please note, referring to the resources of the year 2025. The limits are as follows: 28,444 euros for a dependent child; 35,008 euros for two children; 41,572 euros for three children; Then 6,564 euros per additional child.
The back -to -school allowance is automatically paid by CAF or MSA to parents of children aged 6 to 15 and already beneficiaries. For adolescents aged 16 to 18, it is necessary to transfer a declaration on honor attesting that the child is still educated or apprenticeship. Note that for children who celebrate their 6 years after December 31, 2025 but who enter the CP class at the start of the 2025 school year, a certificate of education is requested. Non-allocarian families must apply for service on the CAF or MSA website
