The children make tickets, dress up, there is a scary film and of course: SNACKS. Because they don’t always have to be unhealthy, this year we took inspiration from Seeberger, our favorite snack supplier.
Or rather Milena was inspired and for you best snack plate ever invented. To ensure that the film evening runs smoothly, we have a few hot film tips. Because what we don’t like: Discussing forever about which film to watch. We have tips for small children, for children over six and for big children, i.e. for a spooky evening for adults.
But first let’s get to the snack plate! As you know, there are tons of healthy snacks in the Seeberger range. Everything is always of top quality, we value Seeberger products very much. On our snack plate you can see: dried bananas, raisins, cashews, roasted hazelnuts, dried mango, almonds, roasted pumpkin seeds, coconut chips and apple rings. And we have a few more highlights for the little snack monsters. They go like this:
Bats made from mango, apricots, pumpkin seeds, raisins:
- Attach two strips of mango to each apricot using a toothpick and two raisins as eyes. Cut the apricot slightly with a sharp knife and insert a pumpkin seed for the mouth.
Kiwi monsters made from mango, banana chips, sugar eyes:
- Halve the kiwis and peel off two thirds of the peel. For the arms, cut something on both sides with a sharp knife and insert dried mangoes. Put on sugar eyes and put a banana chip in your mouth.
Banana ghosts made from pumpkin seeds:
- Peel the bananas and make jagged cuts on one side. Make a face with three pumpkin seeds.
Apple dentures made from coconut chips:
- Wash and dry the apples. Cut out wedges with a sharp knife and carefully remove the seeds from the back. Cut out a strip for the mouth. Apply some peanut butter and stick your teeth in with coconut chips.
Mandarin pumpkins with cashews
- Using a waterproof pen, draw pumpkin monsters onto the peel of the tangerines and decorate with a cashew nut as a stem.
And here are our film tips for a scary evening with – and without – kids!
Our favorite scary films with small children – ergo, films from scratch!
We think it’s important: Not every child can tolerate horror or scary films. We strongly recommend that you watch the film yourself beforehand, sit with it and always pay attention to your child. Maybe it would be better to turn on the light while looking? Or start with something completely relaxing?
The Peanuts, the big pumpkin
The classic from 1966, for example, is such a short film. 25 minutes, many little ones can do that. And the story is so cute: Linus still stubbornly believes that the big pumpkin will come and bring gifts to good children. And while the others collect candy, he spends the whole night in the pumpkin patch.
The little ghost
Another traditional story that we simply love and that our children always find beautiful. A little night ghost has lived at Eulenstein Castle since ancient times. During the day it sleeps in its chest in the attic. But at the stroke of midnight, it wakes up! Coming on October 15th. even on free TV.
Hui Buh – the castle ghost
Another classic – but in a new version! Knight Baldwin is exposed as a fraud while playing cards – lightning strikes him and he is cursed! So he becomes the ghost Hui Buh, who causes mischief at Burgeck Castle.
Our favorite scary films for older children (FSK 6)
The same applies here: always observe the kids and be there, always check how they are doing. Children are just so different, some people don’t mind a little bit of horror, others still dream about it weeks later…
Hotel Transylvania
One of our favorite Halloween comics. Hotel Transylvania owner Dracula becomes a worried father when his teenage daughter has a suitor. Wonderful, even for adults!
Hubie Halloween
Also a really nice film for kids. Hubie isn’t exactly popular in his hometown. But when Halloween takes on spooky aspects, the kind-hearted outsider protects his town.
The Addams Family
And in a comic version! In good old Addams fashion, funny and wonderful and wondrous. Of course you can also watch the original from 1991, we love this film! But this is approved for ages 12 and up and is also significantly scarier.
And here are our film tips for adults!
Goose flesh
A scary but also entertaining film. It’s about Zach Cooper, who meets the beautiful Hannah, who has a somewhat strange father. Rr is a writer and the Many of the fictional demons in his books are real – and threaten humanity. Sometime terrorize the city!
Candyman
A REALLY scary film and a sequel to the horror film of the same name from 1992. It’s probably even scarier but Candyman also really took us away. Under no circumstances watch with the children 😉
The Void
And another REAL horror film that’s not for you Minors is. The story: A sheriff brings a bleeding man to the hospital. But in doing so he opens the gate to hell. Brrrrrrr.
Have fun spooking and snacking!
