Elected Miss France 2026, thanks to the public vote, Hinaupoko Devèze makes the history of the beauty contest by being the first miss with royal blood.
Miss France 2026 is and will remain Miss Tahiti aka Hinaupoko Devèze! The young woman was crowned in Amiens, during the final of the beauty contest hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault on TF1. At only 23 years old, she succeeds Angélique Angarni-Filopon and is already making the history of the competition. She is the first winner with royal blood in her veins!
Hinaupoko Devèze and her family: concrete links with royalty
The young woman has highlighted her dual culture, having Marquesan origins from her mother Léa Hatuuku and French origins from her father Olivier Devèze. But what the general public still didn’t know is that the beautiful Hinaupoko Devèze has famous ancestors. And this is the specialized site The French genealogy review who assures him after having carried out the investigation.
On his dad’s side, they found the traces “of a genealogy full of notables“and this”until finding Jean, Marquis of Pont-à-Mousson and Lord of Saint-Rémy, born in 1475 and bastard son of the good King René of Anjou, causing the blood of Saint-Louis, and many other crowned heads to flow in the veins of Miss France 2026“! So, the crown could only end up on his head… As the site specifies, Hinaupoko Devèze is therefore “the first Miss France to have royal blood“.
Furthermore, it would also have “surprise cousins” with clans of athletes in particular that of Laure and Florent Manaudou as well as Sébastien Chabal.
Hinaupoko Devèze’s first steps as Miss France: “I don’t want to create distances”
The young lady, who will therefore live for a year in the apartment owned by the Miss France committee in the 17th arrondissement of Paris and be paid around 3,000 euros per month, gave a few words to the newspaper The Parisian after his election. “When I presented myself to Miss France, I was told: ‘Be yourself.’ I decided to address everyone while being faithful to what I want to convey. Journalist, Frenchman, politician… I will address every human being in the same way. I don’t want to create distances“, she confided.
And Miss France 2026 clarifies how she intends to approach her role: “I will be present, but I will not ‘vlog’ absolutely everything. Don’t count on me to create influence based on ‘Hello everyone, today I’m having coffee…’ I won’t film everything. I want to lead by example: experience what is happening before your eyes. Me, I look for the human experience above all, in Miss France.”
