Lorie is back on stage from 2025 for a long -awaited tour. But does the 42-year-old singer fears about this new adventure? She confided in her fears, her family life, her age or her beginnings, with the “Journal des Femmes”.
Successful bet for Lorie! By launching her tour for 2025, the singer hoped that fans would be there, but she did not expect such a craze. The places left so quickly that other dates had to be added, including zenith. But does the star have fears about this new adventure? She confided in filter in interview with the Women’s Journal.
The Women’s Journal: What made you want to get into this tour?
Lorie: I wanted to celebrate the twenty years of the first single. But, at the start, I did not think at all on tour, I thought I was taking out the rearranged titles in duet with the young generation (its double-album “Hyper Lorie” whose first volume was released in early 2024, editor’s note). Finally, the feedback was really great. The messages I received on social networks were “when a tour?”. So, I told myself that there may have been an expectation and it’s been a while since I wanted to go back on stage. So, I put dates to see how it was going to happen!
What songs are you looking forward to on stage?
Lots of old songs, because it will remind us of memories. It will be a moment Madeleine de Proust who will immerse us twenty years back. But I also look forward to singing titles that I have never made on stage. I can not mention only one because there are too many!
Will you sing new titles?
There will be titles like 20 years x2 (his song released last fall, editor’s note), which I risk singing on stage. Maybe there will be new, but I don’t really know! We are working on the construction of the show. I have ideas in mind, but I don’t know what will be done in the end.
Do you have any apprehensions? Having filled so many rooms so quickly put the pressure?
Anyway, I would have had the pressure even if it had filled slower. I want to do well! Many people have already come to see me in concert, so there is a kind of comparison with what was done before. I’m going to do something completely different, even if it’s going to be a party and it’s going to sing, dance … I didn’t want to do the same thing as before. So yes, I say to myself: ‘Will it please people? Will they be happy? Will they have fun? ‘.
What do you think of Jenifer’s initiative which allows his audience to vote for the titles he wants to hear on each date of his tour?
I think it’s a very good idea! But I know the titles that people want to hear (laughs). I receive messages every day asking me to sing Your best friend,, On a Latin airetc…
You recently sang at the Star Academy. Could you have participated in a telecrochet when you started?
Yes, I think it’s a beautiful springboard, a beautiful highlight. I was determined, so I was ready to make a program like that. I think at some point, you forget the cameras a little. But you shouldn’t go for a naked in your room unless you want to make the buzz!
Would you agree to become a coach in The Voice or the Star Ac ‘repeater?
Why not, but it’s a job. I sing, but would I be able to teach someone? I don’t know !
Are you nostalgic for the early 2000s and your enormous success of this period?
I wouldn’t say that I am nostalgic, but when I think about it, it is with a lot of kindness, I tell myself that it was a great period and that I was very lucky. Above all, I am happy to have lived her young before having my daughter (Nina, 4 years old, editor’s note) because it would not have been the same with her. For the tour, for example, I asked my turner to stall dates only on weekends, because I wanted to be with her during the week, take her to school, make the bath, eat together, Reading a story are important moments.
Have you started your career very young, did you feel like you are missing part of your youth or grow too fast?
There are things that I have not experienced and that I would have liked to live. I would have liked to do long studies, enjoy a little more of my adolescence, my youth, go out quietly with my friends … things that I did not necessarily do because if I went out in the evening, I had to get up The next day at 5-6 am for a photo session or a shooting of the clip and I had to be in good shape! I missed some things, but I experienced something so crazy and great! We can count on the fingers of one hand the people who have experienced this in France. So I don’t regret anything! And I catch up with the time lost today (laughs). I feel like I have a little more party, I organize evenings with friends, I go to the restaurant, etc.
The mental health of artists and misogyny in industry are subjects that we are talking about more and more, but completely taboo at the time. Have you suffered?
I was rather protected and well in my sneakers. And as I preferred to bed early rather than partying, I managed to manage my schedule well, even if it was very busy, and I was not exhausted. I have more mental load today (laughs). I have so many things in mind with the tour, the fiction that I am going to shoot, other projects on which we are working, my daughter, etc. Sometimes I tell myself that I have to prioritize (laughs)! I suffered more misogyny, especially on TV sets at the time. There were heavy animators, whose names I will not cite, with jokes and borderline sentences, which would no longer pass today.
What is your relationship to the passing time? How do you live in his forties?
When I was 40 years old, I was too happy! I was good in my skin, in my head … I made a little retrospective on what I had done and I thought that I could be proud of myself! When I looked at myself in the mirror, I said to myself: ‘I like it, it’s cool!’. The more I arrive at 45, the less easy (laughs). We’ll see ! The more I get older, the more I know what I want and what I don’t want anymore. I bother my life less with futility. Before, I made a whole mountain of a little problem and now everything is fine!
What do you think of cosmetic surgery?
I am completely for, if it allows people to be better in their skin! But on the other hand, I am against the surgeons who say “yes” to everything, like some young girls who want to do more than it is to the detriment of their health.
How do you manage your career and your life as a mom?
I don’t manage it anymore, I let myself be carried (laughs). I try to be organized as best as possible, to anticipate things. When I bring my daughter to school, I’m going to get her too. When I cannot, either I ask my companion, or we ask a baby-sitter to come once or twice a month. And when she can’t, my parents are there. But I try to organize as well as possible so that it is not a hassle for Nina. It’s really a question of anticipation!
Does she realize that she has a mother who fills the rooms?
No ! (laughs) I didn’t tell him! I think she will come on one of the dates. It will be moving! But I’m going to be more stressed to sing knowing that she is there.
