6 months before the wedding: opening of the announcement hunting!
First reflex: review the wedding invitations you have already received. This will allow you to get a more precise idea of your preferences. Then ask your entourage the addresses of suppliers whose models have seduced you. Another track, wedding fairs where several providers have their products. Also be aware that most party accessories specialists have a website with an online purchase service. Do not hesitate to request a catalog that will help you make your choice without having to move. If you do not have any particular idea or only a color in mind, specialists have many thematic collections: country, romantic, traditional, bucolic, cinema, sports, music … If you organize a wedding whose theme is very precise, contact a creator who can offer you a fully personalized model. The prices depend both on the degree of difficulty in realizing the announcements (in the case of a creation) but also on the quality and the quantity of paper, the decoration accessories (rhinestones, ribbon, feathers, dried flowers) and desired options (see below). You can also give clothing indications if you fear a discrepancy between the atmosphere and the style of the guests, transmit the address of your blog if you have one or the phone number of the surrounding hotels or any other detail you seem important for a fluid organization. Regarding your wedding list, it is not good tone to indicate your depositary on the announcement … In general, the guests contact the witnesses or the nearby family to find out. Last advice: do not indicate your mobile phone which could saturate as D -Day approaches!
4 months before marriage: order
Above all, you absolutely need the approximate number of guests. It is nevertheless useful to provide a small reserve, it would be a shame to pay a second impression for 10 boxes … So make a list by also listing each person’s addresses. You can transmit them to the printer if you decide to have them printed on labels or directly on the envelopes (even if tradition wants them to be written by hand …). Separate the guests to the wine of honor from those invited to the whole tralala … Remember to order announcements for the really distant knowledge but which nevertheless deserve to be warned. Some options exist. Do you want assorted envelopes, collector stamps, joint menstrees, routes to lead guests to good port? The manufacturing and delivery times vary from one to three weeks depending on the providers. The shipment also takes at least two days. If we want the maximum number of positive responses and quickly have the exact number of guests present (essential to calibrate the rest of the preparations), the boxes must arrive early with their recipients: at least Three months before the wedding date. Do not hesitate to impose a confirmation deadline to press the tribe a little!
