Faustine Bollaert, mother “much more worried”: “I’m always afraid…”
“We don’t come out of this show intact”had also admitted the presenter in the columns of the Belgian media Evening Mag. Mother of two children – Abbie, 12, and Peter, 10 -, she confided: “I’m always afraid that they will have a bad encounter. I have become a much more worried mother”.
Recently, Faustine Bollaert published a most sincere message on her Instagram account. On February 12, in the caption of a black and white selfie where she appears surrounded, her eyes filled with tears, the loyal madame of It starts today returned to extremely powerful testimonies presented on her set. In a long message, she described several stories of wounded men, which upset her.
“Constant is barely 20 years old. He was left for dead at 6 a.m. in a street, beaten up by three men for a scooter and a cell phone”begins the ex-wife of the writer Maxime Chattam, about this guest received on his show who was finally able to escape, but remained heavily traumatized by his attack. “This boy is old enough to be my son. And through him, I think of mine, of ours. Of all these children who we would like to protect from this unbearable gratuitous violence“, she regretted.
Faustine Bollaert “soaked in grief”: “I feel them in my flesh”
At the same time, she also mentioned Frédérique, who came to testify on set to pay tribute to her son, Bastien, “died at the hands of three men, simply because he asked them to leave his girlfriend alone”. Before concluding with the mention of five victims of what is today called the Bétharram affair.
“I feel these men. I feel them in my flesh. And tonight, I feel soaked in their sorrow”exposes Faustine Bollaert. The host did not hesitate to open her heart to her loyal viewers: “Allow me to also share my sadness. My overwhelm, sometimes”. And, finally, to thank them: “I know that all this is not in vain. Thanks to you”.
