BoursoBank becomes the second online bank to offer the LEP, the most profitable regulated savings account on the market, with its rate of 4%.

– A second neobank will offer the LEP.
All that was missing was him. BoursoBank announced this Tuesday, November 26, that its customers would now have the possibility of opening a Popular Savings Account (LEP). This savings product – reserved for the most modest savers* – thus complements the range of regulated savings accounts already offered by the online bank: Livret A, Sustainable and Solidarity Development Account (LDDS), Housing Savings Plan ( PEL) and Housing Savings Account (CEL).
For the record, only one online bank has so far offered the possibility of opening a LEP: Hello bank! In addition to the BNP Paribas subsidiary, it was therefore necessary to contact one of the large “traditional” banking networks to benefit from the most profitable regulated savings account on the market (BNP Paribas, Banque Populaire, Caisse d’Epargne, Crédit agricultural, LCL, Crédit Mutuel, CIC, Société Générale, Postal Bank, etc.).
The same conditions as in any bank
For eligible savers who are already BoursoBank customers, this is therefore a godsend, because they will be able to benefit from the advantageous conditions of the LEP as in any bank: accessible from 30 euros, ceiling of 10,000 euros, savings available at any time and total tax exemption on your winnings. All with a yield of 4%, which, even if it must be revised very soon – February 1, 2025 -, should not fall below 3%. This leaves the possibility, in the event of opening before December 1, to benefit from four fortnights at a rate of 4%, or 66.66 euros of interest to be recovered for 10,000 euros deposited.
And for savers who have a LEP already opened in another bank, it is also possible to request its transfer to that of BoursoBank. A preferred solution in order to keep your capitalized interests. Indeed, in the event of closure of your LEP, you recover the entire capital invested (payments + interest). However, if the total exceeds 10,000 euros, you will not be able to repay them in full to your new LEP, since you will again be subject to the payment ceiling of 10,000 euros.
LEP, Livret A, PEL: what they really bring you after inflation
*To open a LEP in 2024, the resource ceiling (reference tax income for the year 2022 or 2023) is set at 22,419 euros for a single person.
