In the International day against violence against women the sentence has arrived for Alessandro Impagnatiello he was sentenced to life imprisonment for stabbing his girlfriend to death Giulia Tramontano, aged 29, seven months pregnant, on 27 May 2023 in Senago, in the province of Milan. The Court also recognized the formal complicity between the murder and the other two charges of concealment of a corpse and non-consensual termination of pregnancy, applying 7 years of imprisonment in addition to the life sentence for the latter two crimes.
The Court also sentenced Impagnatiello, impassive during the reading of the verdict, to compensate Giulia’s father and mother with 200 thousand euros in compensation each and the victim’s brother and sister with 150 thousand euros each. The sentence also includes three months of daytime isolation. The former barman, defended by lawyers Giulia Geradini and Samanta Barbaglia, He has been detained in San Vittore prison since June 2023.
