Since the announcement of its liquidation at the end of 2024, lovers of the brand have been brooding. If the brand continued to live in our wardrobes and in our memories, we never imagined seeing it again on the shelves of our shopping center. However, on this Tuesday, May 5, the unthinkable happened on the fashionista planet: nearly 70,000 pieces signed by this disappeared brand were resold at NOZ. Born in 1968 in radiant California, the fashion brand was appreciated for its minimalist and casual chic aesthetic. Bought a few years later by a company located near Düsseldorf, the label then changed nationality and became Germanic.
The Covid-19 crisis is seriously weakening it… and in the summer of 2024, this is howSPIRIT files for bankruptcy for the Europe zone. A few months later, on September 9, 2024: the Nanterre commercial court pronounces judicial liquidation in France and the brand definitively closes its doors.
Today, the last stamped clothes SPIRIT will therefore be available for sale in the 354 stores in the network NOZ. The European leader in clearance bought back unsold items from the German brand when it announced the end of its history – i.e. 1 million pieces SPIRIT in total. On the program for these sales: 80% reduction displayed on the label compared to the initial price.
And good news for those who plan to renew their seasonal wardrobe: pieces from the brand’s spring-summer collection will invade the shelves. At the house of NOZblouses SPIRIT will be available at 12 euros instead of 60; skirts will cost 16 euros instead of 80; the dresses, finally, will be acquired for 24 euros instead of 120.
