Before leaving Naples, the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, wanted to stop at the Parco Verde di Caivano, participating in the Mass celebrated by Don Maurizio Patriciello. A symbolic gesture, accompanied by words full of meaning and hope for a community that fights every day to recover from difficulties.
At the end of the celebration, Mattarella spoke in front of the faithful, underlining the importance of looking to the future through the youngest: «The best wishes are not only for the year that has just begun, but for the children and young people, on whom concentrate our hopes. The need we all feel is to guarantee them a future of growth, well-being, culture and professional commitment.”
A speech that moved those present and which ended with a warm greeting to the priest and with a souvenir photo at the foot of the altar. Don Patriciello, visibly moved, wanted to thank the Head of State for his presence: a strong signal for a community that fights against abuse and bullying, in the name of legality.
The prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, who accompanied the President, highlighted the symbolic value of the visit: «It is the State that has made itself present, and this truly makes us feel like a community. The community lives on laws and legality, not on bullying. The President’s initiative represents a great sign of hope for young people.”
Di Bari also expressed gratitude to the Government and the ministers for the activities launched in the area, hoping that the sense of legality will become the foundation not only of young people, but of the entire community.
