If she likes to recycle outfits, the Dutch queen also knows how to reveal her fashion expertise through very original pieces. Focus on her green dress.
On June 17, Willem-Alexander and Maxima from the Netherlands welcomed the Japanese couple to the royal palace in Amsterdam during a protocol ceremony. The queen shone with her exceptional dress.
As tradition dictates, the Emperor of Japan Naruhito and his wife Masako were received with honors for the start of their state visit. We noted the two very different looks of the two wives. While the Japanese empress wore a sober outfit with a suit and a fishnet hat, the queen consort of the Netherlands tried a more assertive style. The centerpiece of her silhouette was her long dress by Natan Couture, one of her favorite brands. This creation was very original because it was made from textured and hand-painted fabrics. We owe this work to the Argentinian artist Pablo Piatti. He has also hand-finished several garments for Natan Couture. In addition to its unusual texture, this dress also had a sparkling green color.
To accompany this dazzling piece, Maxima from the Netherlands made the right choice by focusing on light tones. We spotted her fine cardigan casually placed on her shoulders, her Gianvito Rossi pumps and her clutch from the Glorinha Paranaguá brand based in Rio de Janeiro. But the accessory that really caught the eye was her headband.
This XXL model topped her straight hair and matched her ensemble perfectly. HAS 55 years old, the queen born in Buenos Aires has therefore made strong but always elegant choices to reveal her very specific fashion tastes.
