Examples to follow, in sport, in art, in the use of social networks, in prisons, in business… The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, continues to indicate to the country a model of society based on civil commitment and solidarity.
Today he did so by conferring, motu proprio, 31 honors of the Order “For Merit of the Italian Republic”, awarded to women and men who have distinguished themselves for their social commitment, manifested through the ethical and responsible use of social networks, sporting activity as a means of inclusion, art as a tool of social integration, assistance and support for prisoners, solidarity and voluntary activities, for having built a model of ethical entrepreneurship, for the commitment given in the protection of the good of health, even beyond national borders, for the courage and heroism demonstrated, beyond one’s duties professionals, for having become examples of active citizenship.
President Mattarella – we read in a note from the Quirinale – has identified examples, among the many present in our country, of civil commitment, dedication to the common good and testimony to republican values.
The award ceremony will take place at the Quirinale Palace on March 3 at 12. Then we will discover the names and stories of these civic models.
