A few days before the grand final of Miss France 2026, in Amiens, a handful of candidates went to the famous family chocolate factory of Brigitte Macron’s clan!
This year, the election of Miss France 2026 takes place at the Zénith in Amiens, which offers Picardy three weeks of unusual excitement. The 30 candidates for the title increased their outings in the city and some beauty queens were even treated to a gourmet visit. They had the chance to learn the secrets of the famous macaroons from the chocolate factory of Jean-Baptiste Trogneux, who is none other than the great-nephew of Brigitte Macron.
“Chocolate splashed on the outfits of some misses“
Since 1872, the Jean Trogneux house has been delighting Amiens with its artisanal confectionery. A true local institution, passed down from generation to generation and today managed by Jean-Baptiste Trogneux, the great-nephew of Brigitte Macron, who was able to meet 10 regional misses chosen from the 30 beauty contest officials.
They were able to learn more about the history of the famous Amiens macarons and even took part in a confectionery making workshop. Moments which will be broadcast in a sequence on TF1 the evening of the ceremony, hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault. Obviously, the candidates had a lot of fun during this visit, and especially during the making of macaroons and chocolates!
They also have “had to take a few breaks during filming because the chocolate was splashing on the outfits of some“, told on the radio Here Picardy Jean-Baptiste Trogneux, delighted to have received the Misses in his store. “It’s impressive to receive such an organization like the Miss France committee. Beyond the technical teams, the cameramen, the sound recordists, you have ten Misses watching you and it’s not an easy exercise. however, he admitted.
A favorite candidate within the Trogneux chocolate factory? “This Miss has a crazy charm…”
His employee, Stéphanie, who has worked in the store for 22 years and knows the Trogneux family well, was also pleasantly surprised by their arrival. “I expected them to be colder, more rigid, when in fact they arrived with a big smile, beaming“, she revealed.
She already has her favorite, among the candidates: “I love Miss Provence (Julie Zitouni, editor’s note), I found that she had incredible charm!“And it’s not Brigitte Macron’s great-nephew who will contradict her.”Miss Provence was really bubbly, she made jokes…“, he said. Note that Provençale is also among Elodie Gossuin’s favorites, as she told us, alongside Miss Tahiti, Picardie and Île-de-France.
