Christophe Maé, in a relationship with his wife Nadège for more than 20 years, has experienced ups and downs in his relationship. The singer, who has just celebrated his 50th birthday, has made rare confidences about his private life…
Christophe Maé and his wife Nadège Sarron have been happily married for more than twenty years, despite the singer’s sometimes hectic pace of life. But what is the secret to the longevity of their relationship? The 50-year-old artist, who is starting a new tour from the fall of 2026 and will soon release his seventh album, spoke to Parisian on his married life…
Christophe Maé, the secret of his relationship: “Which means we are together after 20 years...”
If Christophe Maé is a father who is there for his two children, Jules, 17 years old, and Marcel, 12 years old, he does not hide the fact that he has also always led the life of an artist and that he cannot sit still! It is therefore his wife Nadège who often takes over in the boys’ education. “I am very lucky because our sons are calm and peaceful. There is a framework, it is madame who took care of it and still takes care of it. I have the chance to spend time with them without being sedentary” he said.
The key to his relationship lies in the alternation of absences and reunions, according to him: “This is the secret to our longevity. She is very happy that I am breaking up (laughs) and we are delighted to see each other again. This is what means that after more than twenty years, we are still together, with ups and downs.“. And the one who celebrated his 50th birthday in October wants to stay young at heart: “Deep down, I’m still 25 years old. I’m the third kid in the house“.
Christophe Maé, his difficult beginnings with his wife in “a maid’s room“
Christophe Maé met his wife before he became famous. Their paths crossed in 2004, in Corsica, in a restaurant where she worked as a waitress. Since then, they got married in 2017 and nothing has separated them, not even the trials of life.
“She experienced everything with me: she experienced the evenings at the piano bar. I had a crappy 4L and she helped me carry my speakers. When I told him I had found an apartment in Paris and asked him to come with me, it was a maid’s room of 11 square meters“, he confided to Tele-Leisure.
