Discover makeup artist Charly Salvator’s revolutionary tip to instantly lift drooping eyelids without surgery.
The look is often the first to betray fatigue, the passage of time or simply the vagaries of genetics. Among the small morphological specificities that irritate the most in front of the mirror, the drooping eyelid tops the list. Whether it has been present since childhood or whether it appears with sagging skin over the years, it is characterized by excess skin on the upper eyelid which partially or completely covers the mobile eyelid. Result ? The face appears tired, sometimes sad, and the eyes appear considerably narrowed.
Faced with this observation, many women give up or imagine that only cosmetic surgery can restore freshness to their eyes. However, before taking such radical measures, makeup remains a weapon of massive transformation, provided you know how to use it. In fact, poorly applied eyeshadow can quickly make the situation worse. Recently, it was makeup artist Charly Salvator who shared a disconcertingly simple technique, capable of transforming the look in a few seconds.
To understand the benefit of Charly Salvator’s method, we must first analyze our bad habits. When you have a drooping eyelid, the first instinct is often to apply a dark eye shadow over the entire movable eyelid in the hope of cheating and recreating a crease. This is precisely the mistake that ruins all efforts. By spreading the color evenly, we only darken the area, which creates a mass effect and visually “crushes” the eye.
To reproduce Charly’s tip at home, you will only need your concealer (or a very light cream shadow), your usual eye shadow and a blending brush. For his part, the professional uses Plume Eyeshadow from the Violette_FR brand, founded by makeup artist Violette Serrat. It is a cream product that turns into powder once applied to the skin.
Instead of starting with color, Charly Salvator first applies her highlights using a cream shadow or a fluid concealer. He applies the product to three strategic locations on the eyelid: at the inner corner of the eye, at the exact center of the mobile eyelid and at the outer corner, stretching slightly towards the temple to initiate an upward “lifting” effect. Rather than sweeping his colored eyeshadow over the entire surface, he applies the color only in the empty spaces, that is to say precisely between the points where the concealer has been deposited. The dark color is thus inserted into the natural shadow areas, surrounded by touches of light. Then, just take a soft brush and blend everything together gently. By tapping and making light circular movements, the boundaries between light and color blur. The eye instantly appears larger, more open, and the gaze regains a dynamic and sparkling expression.
In a few simple geometric gestures, makeup becomes an exact science serving the beauty of the eyes. A foolproof method to adopt urgently to say goodbye to tired eyes!
