A tweed and fringe dress can sometimes be difficult to wear, but not for Maxima from the Netherlands! The queen managed to create a very stylish look thanks to thoughtful accessories. Photo proof.
On October 15, Maxima from the Netherlands visited the Dutch town of Zaandam. For the occasion, the queen brought out an autumnal piece, which reminds us of the codes of a French luxury house.
It was to initiate discussions on debt, mental health and poverty that Maxima from the Netherlands showed up. For this event centered around youth, the queen dropped the majestic pageantry in favor of a less formal, but equally elegant, look. The centerpiece of her outfit: a midi cardigan dress by Oscar de la Renta. It featured a gold buttoning on the front, a V-neck and a fitted waist thanks to a thin belt. We particularly like the fringed edges of the dress which added an original and very stylish dimension to the whole. This dress made from tweed evokes, without hesitation, the spirit of Chanel and its iconic suits made with this wool fabric.
This is not the first time that the wife of Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands has appeared in this dress since she wore it during royal events in 2021 and 2024. But this time, the crowned head tried a more assertive look thanks to bold accessories. To match the fall weather and elevate her silhouette, Maxima opted for black heeled leather boots. It was the “Laura 85” model from the Italian brand Gianvito Rossi, which she particularly likes.
A matching clutch finished off her outfit, while vintage earrings, dating from the 80s and designed by Mercedes Robirosa, added the finishing touch. At 54, the mother of three daughters has once again created an exquisite look that reflects her image.
