It is the magnificent Hinaupoko Devèze who was elected Miss Tahiti and who will represent her island in the Miss France 2026 competition. From her life in mainland France to her height and the job she does, here are her secrets.
The Miss Tahiti election was held last June in Pirae and the very beautiful Hinaupoko Devèze was crowned. She hopes to win the title of Miss France 2026 and follow in the footsteps of her sisters who won the crown for their island such as Mareva Georges Marciano (Miss France 1991) or Vaimalama Chaves (Miss France 2019)…
Biography of Hinaupoko Devèze: all the information on Miss Tahiti
Hinaupoko Devèze is 1m82 tall, she is 23 years old, lives in Mahina and has several jobs: administrative secretary, trip organizer – she organizes trips by electric bike on Nuku Hiva, the largest island in the Marquesas – and model! The beauty queen, whose first name means “the great goddess” and whose other French first name is Céline as she confided in the show Say well, is originally from Papeete.
Hinaupoko Deveze, who lives in a blended family with several half-brothers and sisters, has Marquesan origins on her mother Léa Hatuuku’s side and French origins on her father’s side. Hinaupoko Devèze lived for two years in New Caledonia and fifteen in mainland France – in the South of France -, then settled again in Tahiti in 2022 to reconnect with her roots. “In order to better understand and learn my culture, its history and my mother tongues and above all, to assert myself in my Polynesian identity“, she told the Miss Tahiti website.
Hinaupoko Devèze is not completely unknown since, in 2021, the one who took the name Céline Devèze, had obtained a role in the music video for the song Doudou rappers Koba LaD and Naps. Furthermore, the miss who dreams of succeeding Angélique Angarni-Filopon has several interests: she practices Marquesan dance, Hakamanu, she has also learned horse riding and martial arts. On the other hand, don’t count on her to cook, she admitted spending little time in the kitchen but would like to “get more into it“. Besides, she hates parsley…
Hinaupoko Devèze injured: what happened?
Miss Tahiti suffered from a foot problem at the end of October, while she was learning catwalk for the final of the competition. “I parade anyway, I’m doing pretty well I think. I just have my nail that bothers me (she tore off a toenail, editor’s note) but we make do. It is healing“, she said on the set of Polynesia the 1st.
To win the title of Miss Tahiti, Hinaupoko Devèze prepared for a year and a half! She was able to count on the help of her “second mother“, Ihivai Germain, her chaperone in the world of misses.”Today, it’s much more than love, it’s family, she was my second mother in this adventure“, confided the beauty queen to the 1st. And another woman is also important to her: Mareva Georges Marciano.
She went to the former Miss France, who now lives in Los Angeles and is married to the designer of Guess. She opened her wardrobe to her, helping her to complete her collection of outfits while the candidate received an envelope of 2000 euros for her competition clothes. “So grateful to this incredible woman, full of generosity and inspiration, my big sister“, she wrote on Instagram.
