Perhaps you have noticed: Prince William has a new look and now has a well-trimmed beard. But this appearance made her daughter Charlotte cry tears!
Prince William has proudly displayed a three-day beard for some time, but Kate Middleton’s husband has refrained from growing facial hair for a long time. And for good reason, her daughter Charlotte was totally against this look!
Prince William: his daughter cried when she saw his beard!
The son of Charles III may have had relatively early baldness, but he never tried to camouflage it with implants and other possible interventions. On the other hand, he has already tried to grow a beard in the past. But the first attempt was a failure… because of his daughter Charlotte!
A few years ago, when Kate Middleton’s husband opted for a small, well-trimmed beard, George and Louis’ sister was frightened to the point of crying tears upon discovering her father’s new face! “I was faced with torrents of tears the first time I grew my beard, so I had to shave it off. And now I let it grow back“, simply explained the Prince of Wales during an official trip to South Africa at the beginning of November.
Princess Charlotte’s father must have tried, as best he could, to reassure his daughter, who was certainly destabilized by William’s new appearance. “I convinced her everything would be okay“, he assured. He still waited a few years to make it grow again!
Prince William, frustrated: what his grandmother forbade him
Before his daughter, it was his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, who did not accept that he had a beard, for other reasons. After his military service in 2008, Prince William sported a beard in public for the first time. But crown advisors immediately asked him to shave it, such a look not being considered proper.
Even for his wedding in 2010, the grandson of Elizabeth II asked his illustrious grandmother for permission to wear a beard in an exceptional manner. A request that she had refused him… although she had later granted it to Harry, in 2018. “A beard was considered a clear violation of protocol.” Meghan Markle’s husband explained in his memoirs, The substitutereleased in 2023. If Prince William has long been frustrated that his brother had the privilege of being able to keep his beard, he can now sport it as he pleases!
