Marked by codes dear to the Haussmannian, this living room was already charming, but it lacked modernity to please its new owners. By keeping only the essentials and changing her function, she has come back to life!
When they acquire it, the apartment is already charming, but lacks light and practicality … In addition, it has only one room. The priority was therefore clear: to create a second, both to meet their needs and enhance the property. To do this, Aurore de Charette reorganized the volumes while preserving the soul of this Haussmannian nestled on the 5ᵉ floor of a opulent building. On the decoration side, she had carte blanche, with a single request from the owners: to integrate some pop keys to warm the atmosphere. Mission accomplished for around 80,000 euros! From the entrance to this apartment, there was a double living room, as was done a lot. Moldings, fireplace with trumeau and parquet point of Hungary … The charm of the old was omnipresent and yet, space lacked heat, as well as modernity.
Two rooms, two atmospheres. Once the double door is removed and the walls painted white, this space was able to gain in brightness and the circulation was seen fluidified. Marked by pink terracotta color rectangles (clay), the shelves play the tone card card and offer additional storage. What highlight the period fireplace, obviously preserved, and anchor it in the present. Having become dining room, this room allows you to sit up to six guests and enjoy the view of the living room, now furnished.
After four months of work, the new residents of the place were able to move into their beautiful Haussmannian, redesigned from top to bottom by the care of the interior designer Aurore de Charette. Swear and more functional too, this 80 m² today incorporates two beautiful bedrooms, in addition to this impressive living room.
