Visiting Peru, Sophie from Edinburgh made an appearance that was ravishing to say the least, slipped into a feminine outfit, delicate and perfectly in tune with the autumnal softness. Proof in pictures.
The Duchess of Edinburgh attended a dinner on Tuesday, November 11, to celebrate the first year of implementation of the Biodiversity Landscape Fund (BLF) in the United Kingdom. The event was held at the Casa de Fierro restaurant in Iquitos, Peru, as part of his official tour of South and Central America. For the occasion, she once again demonstrated great taste by choosing a seasonal floral look.
Sophie d’Edimbourg has long made floral print her fashion essential. A true style icon, the 60-year-old duchess is particularly fond of floral dresses for their discreet and resolutely modern elegance. It was also for a model dotted with floral patterns, from the Beulah London brand, that she fell for during her Peruvian appearance. It was the “Sienna” dress, made from 100% silk crepe de chine with multi-colored flowers on a midnight blue background.
The creation was enhanced by a flowing pair reaching below the knees, slightly puffed sleeves and a belt tied at the waist. An unusual fashion option for fall, and yet in perfect harmony with the rather mild temperatures of the moment. Concerned about details, Prince Edward’s wife relied on subtle accessories to perfect her look. On the program? A rectangular snake-effect clutch that she paired with a pair of beige pumps, adorned with a pearly pearl.
She also opted for a fine chain necklace, golden rings and flower-shaped earrings, bringing an additional touch of freshness, in terms of jewelry. A graceful appearance, faithful to the sober and elegant style that we know.
