Welcome to the 9th arrondissement of Paris. This 20 m² apartment overlooking the courtyard is located on the 7th floor of a 1930s building. When the client, a lady living abroad, bought this property, it was no longer up to standard, with a washing machine near the shower, for example – ideal if you wanted to be electrocuted… She wanted to make it her Parisian pied-à-terre and a short-term rental, equipped and furnished, with plenty of storage. We should therefore think about integrating lockable cupboards. On the decor side, his ideas translate into a feminine and neat atmosphere.
Technical parts finally in their place
Entrusted to Valérie Laporte Volatier, decorator and founder of the Les Murs ont des Oreilles agency, with the assistance of DPLG architect Charlotte Soissons Lenormand and decorator Brice Bourdon, the renovation of the premises is synonymous with upheaval, for the better obviously! The good idea to remember in this great project? Having exchanged the kitchen and the bathroom. The first was tucked away in a sort of corridor at the back of the apartment, while the second didn’t make you want to take a shower because it was so cluttered and poorly designed. Thus, this judicious choice made it possible to free up space on the living room side. As for the decoration and equipment of the apartment, they were selected and purchased by Murs ont des Oreilles, a service that the shock team offers to its clients when they cannot take care of it.
