Buttons appear mysteriously on your face? We may know their origin. We tell you more.
Plop! A new red button appears on your skin, and that’s the third already this week. However, you eat balanced, and your beauty routine has not changed … But have you thought about this often overlooked cause?
As we know: taking care of your belongings is equivalent to taking care of your skin, especially when they are in direct contact with it. And the object in question is often forgotten in our daily gestures. We are talking here about your pillowcase. Rarely washed or changed as it should be, it can however be a real reproduction ground for bacteria. For what ? Because it can be “dirtier than your toilets”, according to the Wales Online media.
So, to prevent your face from being fucked with bacteria overnight, it is essential to change your pillowcase every week, especially summer. If you sleep alone, you can wait a little longer, but in any case, good hygiene is essential. Dr. Gareth Nye, head of the medical science program for the Wayfair online brand, explains that “The first studies believe that a person can lose between 500 and 700 ml of sweat overnight, with a minimum of 200 ml per individual. This sweat is absorbed by sheets and night clothes”. Result: bacteria deposit luggage and take advantage of the night party. And of course, this is reflected on your skin, with the appearance of pimples and other imperfections.
So how to wash your pillowcases correctly? Depending on the material, it is recommended to wash them at a temperature between 40 and 60 degrees. Make sure they are dry before storing them.
In order to limit the proliferation of microbes, we advise you to take a shower before going to bed. You will thus eliminate the accumulated residues during the day and can slip into clean and fresh sheets.
