In a recent interview with the magazine Current Womanshe shared one of her favorite tips for ensuring impeccable results, even when outfits are acting up. Indeed, even the most beautiful pieces and the most elaborate fabrics can pose a problem, particularly when static electricity appears.
Whether it’s a long dress for a performance or a sophisticated suit for a stage act, sometimes clothes refuse to cooperate. This is particularly the case for synthetic materials which generate static electricity. When a satin skirt sticks to your skin, lint builds up on your blouse, or you feel a little electric shock with every touch, it becomes difficult to stay calm. And that’s where Julie’s tip comes into play.
To remedy this problem, you don’t need to invest in expensive products or resign yourself to abandoning your favorite outfit at the last minute. The stylist’s solution? Hairspray. “When there are dresses that may have a little static electricity, we apply a coat of hairspray and that removes the electricity from the garment“, confides Julie. Simply spray the hairspray at a distance of around 30 cm from the fabric to avoid damaging the fibers. It’s quick, effective and above all, economical!
