Susanna Tamaro lives like this. In the Umbrian countryside, among the silence, the vegetable garden, writing and some meetings “sent from Heaven”. «In this phase of my life I live like a Benedictine».
He has just published a collection of essays from the last fifteen years with a title that recalls his bestseller from years ago: The way of the heart (Solferino). «We live in a time of great change and in a very enjoyable and noisy world, but incapable of true happiness. People no longer find meaning in living.”
“I think I’ve always had it,” he says speaking of faith. «When you feel a Eucharistic light inside you it is difficult to lose your compass». Faith, he concludes, is a gift capable of infecting others.
